Attempting to find "The Tone" is a mysterious land of wind and ghost. It is a place of chaos, full of frustrated musicians who spend their days playing through this amp and that amp in some sort of bizarre musical ritual. A place where the unknowing throw big money at the "Tone Gods" hoping the pain will go away.
I provide hand built, hard wired boutique amplifiers to guitar players. There is money involved but I am not one of the false prophets. I am simply a disciple of good tone practices.
I build a 1x12 5E3 Deluxe Style Combo, a 4x10 5F6A Bassman Style Combo, a 2x12 5F6A Dual Rectifier Bassman Style Combo, an 18 Watt High Gain Head, a 50 Watt Plexi Style Head, a 20 Watt and 40 Watt BF Style Head with Reverb and Bias Modulated Tremolo and various Custom Amplifiers.

I am a Hoffman Board Manufacturer. As a professional working engineer I appreciate excellent circuit design. Doug Hoffman's designs have the very nuance we are searching for. Look how clean and unobtrusive the layouts are. These designs, using turrets, lend themselves to component experimentation with easy access to the resistors and capacitors.
I build the following Hoffman circuit styles: 5E3, 5F6-A, AB-763, AC-30, The 18 Watt Stout,18 Watt Stout with Reverb and Plexi's. I also do custom designs. Below is my take on the 5E9-A.
It is, for the most part, a Deluxe with Tremolo; except it runs on 6V6's or 6L6's.
